It's been waaaaay too long since I last wrote a blog post for the website. In my defence, I've been very busy readying myself for the ITAM Review's Australian conference, at which I'm speaking, and engaging with clients. But, as I'm sat here in Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei on a 5 hour layover, I figured I haven't really got an excuse now. My body is currently 8 hours behind my brain, which makes writing a challenge but we'll get through this.
I won't write about my forthcoming conference session, largely because I've already done that (hint: it's the same workshop I hosted at the ITAM Review's UK conference in June), but I did think it worth writing a couple of posts about the conference itself. There are some great speakers lined up, covering a great range of topics, and some people in the ITAM industry who I'm really looking forward to meeting for the first time.
The only downside to attending...well, anything...in Australia is the travel time. I've always been lucky enough not to suffer too much from jet lag - a few hours sleep when I arrive at my destination will usually have me back on the right track - but it can still be difficult having to spend upwards of 20 hours sat in what amounts to a steel pipe with stabiliser fins, as anyone that's flown down here can testify. Anyway, enough of my complaining - look out for a couple of more posts this week from the ITAM Review Australian conference and don't forget to follow the twitter feed #ITAMRConference. In the meantime, if you need any support with licensing or SAM services, please do get in touch.
